Privacy Policy

AnMar Pharmaceutical & Food Services Ltd ("AnMar", "we", "us", "our") is the data controller for the AnMar Wellness application, website and Wellness Navigator. This notice explains how we use personal data in accordance with the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
1. Data We Collect
- Account information — such as your email address, account identifier and authentication information when you register or sign in. You may sign in using email/password or an enabled social sign-in provider such as Google or Apple.
- Navigator conversation information — the free-text information you enter during a Navigator consultation, together with the structured wellness goal, dietary and safety answers inferred or confirmed from that conversation and the product IDs recommended to you.
- Saved Navigator information — if you deliberately choose “Save my results”, the relevant structured Navigator profile, recommendation and supporting consent record are stored against your account so you can return to them later.
- Safety-check information — whether pregnancy/breastfeeding, prescription medication or a significant diagnosed condition applies. These answers are used to pause personalised recommendations when relevant.
- Wellness Guide information — account-linked conversations where you deliberately use or save the Wellness Guide, together with limited usage and safety-audit records required to operate it.
- Marketing information — your email address, marketing choice and timestamp only when you separately opt in to email updates.
- Order and payment information — information required to process and fulfil purchases. Payment card details are handled by the payment provider rather than stored by AnMar in the Wellness Navigator.
- Usage and security records — limited technical, authentication, AI-usage and audit information needed to operate and protect the service.
2. Wellness Navigator and Special Category Information
The Navigator is designed to ask only for the information needed to understand a general wellness goal. You should not provide unnecessary medical records or detailed diagnoses. The consultation may process health-related information when you describe a wellness concern or answer the safety check. The live consultation is sent to our application infrastructure and AI service so the language model can interpret your request and ask follow-up questions. The browser also keeps the current consultation and recommendation in session storage so the results page and “Ask AnMar why” feature can operate during that session.
The live consultation is not automatically saved to your account. If you select “Save my results”, we store the structured result and the information needed to reproduce and display that saved result. The app tells you this before saving. If you indicate pregnancy/breastfeeding, prescription medication or a significant diagnosed condition, personalised product matching is paused rather than using that information to make a supplement recommendation.
3. Legal Bases
- Contract / steps at your request and legitimate interests — to provide and secure account services, purchases and customer-service functions you ask us to provide.
- Explicit consent — before the personalised Navigator starts, you are asked to agree to the processing of what you enter in that consultation, including health-related information you choose to provide. This provides the Article 9 condition for special category information used in the consultation.
- Explicit consent to save — when you deliberately save a Navigator result to your account, the saved wellness profile and recommendation are retained for that purpose. You can request deletion at any time.
- Consent — optional marketing communications. Marketing consent is separate from use of the Navigator and can be withdrawn at any time.
- Legitimate interests — proportionate service security, fraud prevention, reliability and operational auditing.
- Legal obligation — where transaction, tax, accounting or other records must be retained by law.
4. How We Use Personal Data
- To interpret your general wellness request and ask relevant follow-up questions.
- To match the resulting needs against AnMar's controlled recommendation evidence and human-reviewed product facts.
- To answer follow-up questions about why a product was recommended.
- To save a Navigator result only when you deliberately choose to do so.
- To operate accounts, saved routines and other features you deliberately use.
- To process and fulfil purchases.
- To send optional marketing only where you have opted in.
- To protect the service and investigate technical or security problems.
5. Service Providers
We use service providers where necessary to operate the application and business, including Base44 for application infrastructure, authentication and AI functionality, Stripe for payment processing, and Resend for transactional email such as order confirmations. Where you choose a social sign-in method, the relevant identity provider such as Google or Apple also processes the information needed to authenticate you. We may also use service providers for hosting, security and order fulfilment. They process personal data only for the relevant service and subject to their contractual and legal obligations. We do not sell personal data to advertisers or data brokers.
6. Retention
The current unsaved Navigator consultation and recommendation are held in browser session storage for the active session. If you deliberately save a Navigator result, the saved profile/result is retained for up to 12 months unless you delete your account or ask us to erase it sooner. Service providers and security systems may retain limited request, operational or audit data in accordance with their service and security controls. Marketing records are retained until consent is withdrawn or the record is no longer required.
If you delete your account, account-linked Navigator, saved routine, Wellness Guide and marketing records are deleted or anonymised as described on our Account & Data Deletion page. Order, invoice, payment and transaction records may be retained where required for fulfilment, tax, accounting, fraud prevention, chargebacks, warranties, disputes or legal obligations. UK VAT and related business records may need to be retained for the applicable statutory period.
7. Your Rights
Depending on the circumstances, UK data-protection law gives you rights including access, correction, erasure, restriction, objection, portability and withdrawal of consent. You can permanently delete a registered app account from Account & Data Deletion. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
